Urgent Eye Care Office Update : March 28, 2020
TELEMEDICINE “VIRTUAL” DOCTOR VISITS ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR URGENT EYE CARE.
If your eye problem is appropriate for remote diagnosis and treatment, our office will arrange for a telemedicine appointment with one of our doctors via a secure and HIPAA-compliant portal. Your virtual visit — conducted in the safety and comfort of your home — will be billed to your medical insurance, just like an in-person visit, and a co-pay may apply.
If an in-office eye-health examination is necessary, your appointment time at our office will allow for social distancing from other patients; there will only be necessary staff present; no walk-ins will be accepted; and you will be cared for in an exam chair and with equipment that has been sanitized frequently.
Urgent eye care includes an eye infection, pink eye, eye injury, sudden vision change or other concerning eye-health issues requiring immediate doctor attention. For a medical emergency, always call 911.
